SEMICONDUCTORS
Category : SEMICONDUCTORS

In contrast to pure metal and insulator, semiconductors are solid-state materials with controlled electrical conductivity.

As most of the consumer products in the market nowadays are using semiconductors directly or indirectly, the vast global usage has shortened the innovation cycle and propelled a continuous stream of faster, better, and cheaper high-technology products.

With the growing importance of telecommunications and Internet applications in the highly globalized world, semiconductors play a more critical role in enhancing the capabilities of existing communications systems to improve the global connectivity of people.

Exploit Technologies offers a wide spectrum of semiconductor design and process intellectual property and know-how that give you a better competitive edge in your business endeavour.

Genome Institute of Singapore and Roche announce collaboration on development of SARS detection kit

May 22 2003 - Genome Institute of Singapore and Roche Diagnostics announced an agreement to co-develop a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) detection kit based on one of Roche's platform technologies - Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology. SARS is a respiratory infection, caused by a new strain of coronavirus, that has recently been reported in a number of regions, including Singapore. Since its outbreak in March, the Genome Institute of Singapore has been working to sequence the genetic code of the SARS coronavirus and has defined its genetic diversity. This information is critical to the development of robust diagnostic assays.

The diagnostic kit is expected to be ready... Please click here for the full news release.
